This is some excellent footage of The Blue Angels taken at the 2011 Rhode Island Airshow at Quonset Point in North Kingstown.The Blue Angels are the best act of any airshow in the world. This Navy flight demonstration squadron was formed in 1946 and is the oldest formal flying aerobatic team in existence.
The squadron has six demonstration pilots that currently fly the F 18 Hornet at over 70 shows throughout the United States each year. Since their inception the Blue Angels have performed using a variety of different aircraft types for over 427 million spectators worldwide.
